Contemplate the intersection of art and science at the public debut of the mural at the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis (NCEAS), a world-renowned UCSB research center. LA-based street artist ELKPEN used cartography, natural history and work plays to create a collage of intricate visual metaphors for the study of ecology. Also on display is a series of paintings by local artist Colin Schildhauer that cast an artistic light on pressing environmental challenges. Wine, food, and raffle prize.
